It is the first materials aesthetics library in mainland China to combine materials research with design trends, showcasing more than 1,000 types of innovative materials. From concrete, metal and textiles to recycled materials, each sample is displayed almost like a work of art.
The interior is dominated by warm wooden elements. Its high ceilings and shifting patterns of natural light create the atmosphere of a design exhibition space. The most eye-catching feature is the spiral staircase beneath the domed skylight. When sunlight streams through, almost every photograph has a cinematic quality.
