The joint inspection building at the new Huanggang Port officially opened on October 12, with a free shuttle bus service launched at the same time to make it easier for Hongkongers to shop and sightsee in Futian’s central district.

The free circular shuttle begins and ends at the new Huanggang Port, linking seven major shopping areas in Futian, including Intown, Huangting Plaza and Link CentralWalk. After clearing immigration, Hongkongers can board the bus directly instead of transferring to the metro or taking a taxi, saving on transport costs.

The service operates from 10am to 8pm, with departures every 30 minutes. After leaving the port, passengers can board at Parking Bay 1 in the first row of the bus interchange on Level B1. The route runs in one direction, passing Intown, the Convention and Exhibition Centre, Ping An Finance Centre, Shopping Park, Huangting Plaza, Link CentralWalk, One Avenue and Shenzhen Eye, before returning to the port.

Several shopping malls along the route offer tax refund services:

  • Star River COCO Park: Customer Service Centre on Level 2, Phase 1, and VIP Lounge on Level 2, Phase 2
  • Link CentralWalk: Customer Service Centre on Level B1
  • One Avenue: Customer Service Centre on Level 1, West Zone

Travellers from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan can apply for a tax refund after spending at least RMB200 at the same store on the same day. By keeping the tax refund application form and receipt, they can enjoy “buy now, refund now” and receive cash on the spot.

Other promotions are available along the route. At Intown, shoppers spending RMB129 or more can redeem a free gift, while Hong Kong members can use RMB1 to purchase a special drink at the Cloud Observation Deck at Ping An Finance Centre. Link CentralWalk is home to Shenzhen’s first physical Hema Mini store, and 14 brands in the mall support departure tax refunds for overseas visitors. The Convention and Exhibition Centre will also host the 40th Shenzhen Famous Home Products Expo from October 23 to 25.

Payment promotions are also on offer. From now until December 31, 2026, Alipay+ is offering a RMB128 promotional coupon package for eight overseas e-wallets, including AlipayHK, MPay and GCash.

By connecting major dining, shopping and entertainment destinations across Futian, the free shuttle makes it even easier for Hongkongers to shop and explore in Shenzhen.
