The hugely popular Chiikawa franchise has officially arrived in Shenzhen. Coastal City in Nanshan has welcomed the city’s first Chiikawa flagship store, alongside the first Chiikawa-themed exhibition in South China.

The adorable installations have been described online as “cyber ibuprofen” for their mood-lifting appeal. Whether you are visiting during the National Day holiday or simply looking for a weekend photo spot, the exhibition offers a light-hearted way to escape everyday stress.

Guangdong-Exclusive Kung Fu Theme

This exhibition takes a creative martial-arts approach, departing from Chiikawa’s usual soft and cuddly aesthetic. Chiikawa, Usagi and Hachiware appear in kung fu training outfits for the Guangdong-exclusive “Lingchun Fist Shadows” collection.

Immersive themed scenes are spread across different floors of the mall, with photo spots in a variety of styles. Every corner is designed to be highly photogenic.

  • Level 2, Main Atrium: The “Brave Take-Off” installation.

  • Level 4, Dining Area: A cosy small-gathering canteen scene.

Guangdong-Exclusive Merchandise

The flagship store offers a wide range of exclusive new releases and practical everyday merchandise. The locally exclusive “Lingchun Fist Shadows” series is expected to be among the most popular, featuring kung fu-themed plush charms paired with miniature wooden training-dummy designs—ideal for attaching to bags or collecting.

Other highlights include a full set of eight wuxia-inspired pin badges and blind boxes containing acrylic stands. Displayed together, they resemble a miniature martial-arts gathering.

The store also carries folders, fridge magnets, palm-leaf fans and keychains, as well as kung fu-themed canvas tote bags, phone lanyards and graphic T-shirts, making it a convenient one-stop shop for everyday accessories and fashion items.

Purchase Reminder

The Guangdong-exclusive “Lingchun Fist Shadows” collection is subject to purchase limits: each customer may buy no more than two units of each item. Stock is limited and items are available only while supplies last, so fans should not miss out.
